Call for abstracts

Interested in attending a session and presenting your work? Please submit your abstract to one of the session. The call for abstracts is open until 31st March 2019.

Submission System:

To register, please complete the online registration form through Easychair system.

Instruction to Authors:

Submission can be either a poster or an oral presentation. The official language of the conference and presentation is English. Authors are expected to present their papers and papers that are not presented at the conference will not be published. Submission of the paper is regarded as a commitment and if the author unable to attend and present the paper, the co-author or colleague should present the paper on their behalf. The paper must not have been previously published or under consideration simultaneously by any other publication. Plagiarism should be avoided. The scientific and publication committee has the right reject any paper for publication that does not meet content or manuscript requirement.

Manuscript requirement:

Please submit your abstract and paper using EasyChair System. The requirement of the manuscript format as below;

  • Microsoft Word, single-spaced
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 point
  • Text: Justified, accept for article title
  • Sub-headings: Should be bolded and placed at the left hand margin, one double space below the previous section.
  • Tables or Charts: Must in in text format and inserted in the text document.
  • Figures or photos: Must be in JPEG and PNG format.
  • Reference Style: Follow the APA-style referencing.

Article structure:

  1. Abstract: The manuscript should contain an abstract. The abstract should be citation-free and not exceed 250 words.
  2. Introduction: State the objectives of the works and provide an adequate background to the study, inclusive of the literature relevant to the works.
  3. Methods and Materials: Provide sufficient details about the method that were used in the research.
  4. Results: Should be clear and concise.
  5. Discussion: A combined results and discussion section is often appropriate. The discussion should explore the significant of the results.
  6. Conclusions: Should be presented clearly and summarize the whole works.
  7. Acknowledgements: All acknowledgements (if any) should be included (i.e. supporting grants, presentations, and etc.)
  8. Reference List: Should using APA-referencing style.

 

Oral presentation:

The time allocated for a presentation is 15 minutes, with a further 5 minutes for discussion.

Please noted that presenter must bring their own thumb drive for presentation. Laptops will will be provided by the organizer. Presenter should arrive early at least 15 minutes prior to the session presentation and to introduce themselves to the Session Chair. Only Microsoft PowerPoint (ppt or .pptx) presentation will be accepted. If you want to present video format with audio, please inform the technical staff before the presentation.

Call for Poster

You are invited to submit your abstract for poster presentation during the conference. Please complete your registration through EasyChair System.

Guidelines for poster presentations:

Poster display will be in portrait orientation. The poster presenters are required to stand at or near by their poster for at least 30 minutes during the poster reception session, to talk and answer questions regarding their work. The poster should be a visual presentation of your submitted abstract and should meet the following criteria:

  1. Title : The title should be the same as the submitted abstract. Characters should be a minimum of 48 point font size. Display your name, organization or institute and address. Heading between 48 to 60 point font size is recommended.
  2. Size: The poster must be A1 size ( 594 x 841 mm /  23.4 x 33.1 in ) in portrait orientation. Poster should be easily read from at least 1 meter distance.
  3. Lettering: The poster should be readable and clear.
  4. Content: Prepare the point font size between 24 to 32 with single spaces. The text should be concise and readable. Include the abstract, introduction, methodology, results, discussion, conclusion, acknowledgement, and references.

On the day of your poster presentation, conference organizer will assist the poster presenter to put up the poster. The poster will be display throughout the day of conference and will be removed by the end of the day.
