Aquaculture Programme (HS27)

The programme is envisioned to produce trained human resources in the field of aquaculture which could assist in the development of the Malaysian aquaculture industry. The programme shall expose undergraduates to practical training such as in the hatcheries, ponds and cages. Apart from that, undergraduates are compulsory to operate and manage pioneer entrepreneurial project in groups through Shared Farm from the breeding to the harvesting and marketing stage during their studies at BMRI. Undergraduates will also undergo industrial training in aquaculture farms, government research institutes and hatcheries locally and abroad to gain additional knowledge and experiences.

Marine Science Programme (HS40)

The programme encompasses multi-discipline studies in oceanography, marine biology, marine environment and interactions between them and the exploration and conservation of marine resources. The programme offers fundamental and applied courses concentrating on the biological and physical aspect of Marine Science. The course provides the ideal foundation for various vocation and avenue to pursuit higher degree at Master’s and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.).
