Bloomberg is a powerful and flexible platform for financial professionals that brings together real-time data on all market, news and research, analytics, and communication tools to make smarter, faster, more informed business decisions. Bloomberg has data on more than 5 million bonds, equities, commodities currencies, and funds. It covers almost every publicly traded company in the world, and has profiles on more than a million people.
2. PressReader Trial now available!
For this month, until the 31st October 2017, the UMS Library currently on trial a new News Service for visitors of the library, provided by PressReader. This News Service consists of over 7000 titles coming from over 100 countries.
How does it work?
It is free available via UMS WiFi service. Visitors can download the PressReader app on their own device (smartphone/tablet) via the links underneath. When visitors have installed the PressReader app, they can download newspapers and journals. Downloading of these journals and newspapers only works when visitors are at the UMS Library.

3. Trial Access of IJOURNET now available
UMS Library has arranged a Nature journals trial.
You now have unlimited online access to select Nature journals via nature.com.
The portfolio of Nature journals include:
Bates’ Visual Guide delivers head-to-toe and systems-based physical examination techniques for the (Advanced) Assessment or Introduction to Clinical Medicine course. The site features more than 8 hours of video content.
Students and faculty in medical, nursing, and related programs will appreciate the careful attention to clinical accuracy, as well as the range of patient types profiled in the series. Institutions will benefit from the online delivery of content—available for the first time via IP-authenticated or referring URL access—allowing their users to view the videos from any web-based location or device.

i. Counseling and Psychotherapy
This collection of 138 hours and 420 videos draws upon a vast network of SAGE’s authors and editors. It includes many tutorials, such as Mick Cooper on Empathy and Listening, multiple interviews with leading experts such as Jerrold Lee Shapiro on Existential Psychotherapy and John McLeod on Evidence-Based Practice, along with many more films addressing teaching, learning and practitioner issues
Comprised of 126 hours and 450 videos, this collection offers a practical view into a full range of teaching settings and situations, from early years to educational leadership, to support students needing to understand theory or how to apply it in practice. Contributors include leading authors Peter Smith on Bullying, Wendy W. Murawski on Co-Teaching, Julia Link Roberts on Gifted and Talented Education, and many more.
iii. Media and Communication Studies
This internationally diverse collection of 134 hours and over 500 videos offers academic viewpoints and real-life insights into practices directly applicable to Communication and Media Studies courses. Top Hollywood producer Martin Cohen discusses film production; further contributors also include Sonia Livingstone on New Media, Joe Turow on Advertising, Barbara Zelizer on Journalism, and Stuart Hall on Representation.
Beta Trial in March
As of 28 January 2016, over 60 hours are available in this extensive and diverse collection. When complete, it will feature around 130 hours of video covering different content types that will help users instruct, learn, think deeply, and become even more curious! See professional psychologists in action, such as forensic psychologists working inside a prison, or clinical psychologists treating patients with a variety of mental health disorders; or venture back to the field’s beginnings via footage of John B. Watson or Muzafer Sherif’s early experiments. This collection has a great variety of content for all end users.

As of 28 January 2016, over 60 hours are available in this extensive and diverse collection. When complete, it will feature more than 150 hours of video, including in-depth interviews with experts from across the globe on topics as varied as innovation management, corporate social responsibility and social media marketing. View the very latest insights from marketing practitioners at brands including Kellogg’s and McDonald’s and watch management professionals, business leaders, entrepreneurs and marketers at work.

As of 28 January 2016, over 60 hours are available in this extensive and diverse collection. When complete, it will feature around 140 hours of video that reinforces course fundamentals, introduces new perspectives and brings theory to life with in-practice examples. With content types designed to fit a variety of learning and research needs, interviews with renowned experts cover subjects including international migration, political philosophy and the international relations of China. Discover seminal documentaries from BBC Worldwide and footage of famous political speeches from Martin Luther King and John F. Kennedy among others.
