The celebration of Hari Malaysia was held successfully at PPST on 15th September 2017. The event was attended by the PPST director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sazmal Effendi Arshad, lecturers, administration staffs and students of the current batch. The event was fully organized by PPST Students Representative Council cohort-8 lead by Nur Syamin bin Azhar and Moses Michael Juilih with the assistance of the student committee members.

The emcee of the event were represented by Muhammad Darwish Arshad and Erney Nabila Huda binti Roslan. This one day event was filled with activities aimed to instill patriotism in students while building warm relationship between PPST students and staffs. The students showed their support in celebrating Hari Malaysia by wearing traditional attire such as sarees, cheongsam, baju kurung and Kadazandusun traditional clothes. Various activities were performed such as cooking competition, singing competition and, Merdeka Quiz which was coordinated by Ekma Evaldo. The students who participated in the cooking competition showed their cooking skill by cooking various type of dishes. There are four groups that participated in the competition and the winner were Razsyafiqah, Adibah Najihah and Allia Nurul Izzah who successfully impressed the juries with their skillful cooking skill and scrumptious food prepared.

Not to forget impressive voices that blew away the audiences. Those impressive voices were from the finalist for the singing competition that has gone through audition. The first place winner went to Aina Fazlina who sang Merdeka gracefully. The highlighted activity was dinner where variety types of food such as grilled chicken, grilled fish and fried rice were served. After dinner, the event continued with more activities such as Merdeka Quiz where the knowledge of the students about Malaysia were put to test. The celebration of Hari Malaysia was ended with special performances by Efi Suzette Dicken, medley of songs from PPST Students Representative Council, and photography session of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sazmal Effendi Arshad with the students.
