- “ Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) 'Sahabat Media' supports the university's efforts in fostering the culture of awareness towards the preservation and conservation of forests.
Connie Pearl Suil of Utusan Borneo said UMS efforts are timely in sustaining our forests for our future generations.
For Therence Voo from New Sabah Times, forest conservation was important in reducing global warming which was a concern of the world community.
Sin Chew Daily reporter, Lau Siew Mei said the World Forestry Day celebration organised by the School of International Tropical Forestry (SPTA) UMS was seen capable in educating the public especially students about the importance of forest care.
He said it would instill the love for the environment and refrain from any activity that could destroy the natural wildlife.
