At the programme, a total of seven villages namely Kampung Layang-Layangan, Lubok Temiang, Batu Arang, Bandar Labuan, Bukit Kuda, Durian Tunjong and Tanjung Aru received the assistance.
According to the coordinator of the programme, Mohd Fazli Sarudi, the Ziarah programme was one of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) UMSKAL for the less fortunate in the area.
“We hope that this contribution would help alleviate the burden of this group, in celebrating the Ramadan and Aidilfitri,” he said.
The aid was given to single mothers, the disabled (OKU) and orphans including the needy who are registered with the Social Welfare Department (JKM) Labuan.
The delegation also included Senior Deputy Registrar, Zamri Mohamad Tuah who represented the Director of UMSKAL, Associate Professor Dr. Murnizam Haji Halik and the Head of Student Affairs and Alumni (HEPA), Mas Adi Alimin. – ZMD (fl)
