Centre's Development

Since its establishment, the EcoCampus Management Centre has gone through five (5) different directions, which are associated to the directors of the centre.

Associate Professor Dr. Awangku Hassanal Bahar Pengiran Bagul is the founding director for UMS EcoCampus Management Centre, which he is from the Faculty of Business, Economics and Accountancy UMS. Being trained in tourism, Associate Professor Dr Awangku focused on the concept of tourism. The second was Associate Professor Dr. Justin Sentian from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities UMS, and he focused on the infrastructure support of tourism. The third director is Professor Dr. How Siew Eng from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities UMS, and she focused on renewable energy; while the forth director is Associate Professor Dr. Berhaman Ahmad from the Faculty of Tropical Forestry UMS focused on forest related networking. Associate Professor Dr. Azali Saudi from the Faculty of Computing and Informatics UMS is the fifth director of the center, and he focused on information sharing.

The current director of the centre is Dr Robert Francis Peters from the Institute for Tropical Biology and Conservation.
