Overview Of The Programme


The Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences, formerly known as the School of Medicine was established in 2003. This was to cater for the professional human resource needs in Malaysia and the BIMP-EAGA area (Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines – East ASEAN Growth Area).

The medical doctor programme has undergone three accreditation exercises, in 2008, 2010 and 2015. The curriculum is reviewed from time to time depending on the needs and trends in the medical education.



The Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences is committed to be the centre of assimilation and dissemination of knowledge along with the discovery and innovation in the field of medicine and health sciences in Malaysia and in the region.

The outstanding faculty is committed to producing high quality graduates; with moral and ethical values, being liberal and independent, with global outlook. Exhibiting camaraderie, being innovative and willing to provide professional services to mankind which will improve their quality of lives.
