The marine science programme impart knowledge on the marine environment through lectures, laboratory classes and field excursions aimed to expose the students to the diversity of marine life, marine ecosystems and its interconnectivity to the environment. 

This course encompasses the management of marine protected areas, maritime policies, oceanic-atmospheric interactions, impacts of human activities and climate change on the oceans, to produce graduates who are able to understand and manage conservation and sustainable utilization of marine resources.
