POST- DOCTORATE PROGRAMS

BMRI welcomes distinguished scholars from around the world interested in undertaking post-doctorate research on topics of shared interests.

We encourage the potential candidates who are on sabbatical or post-doctorate leave from their institutions, and also those intending to advance their professional expertise gained during recently completed doctorate degree course to first obtain funding and discuss the research programs with the Institute before formally submitting their applications.

BMRI is accepted by several international academic and funding institutions as a center of excellence where advanced research programs can be implemented.

Senior scholars willing to pursue their intellectual ideas on topics such as environment, biodiversity, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and sustainable development among others in a global perspective are encouraged to do so at BMRI.

The physical and intellectual environment at BMRI facilitates ‘thinking beyond data’ and ‘out of the box’ in generating new ideas, synthesizing novel concepts and proposing innovative hypotheses concerning the marine ecosystem.
