About UMS Library

INTRODUCTION

UMS Library is an information centre to support the process of teaching, learning, research, innovation and university publications. UMS Library also extends the services to its branch locations at Labuan International Campus Library, Medical Library, Engineering Multimedia Library, Sandakan Campus Library and Block Clinical Sikuati.

Thousands of books are available at UMS Library in various field. Most of them are related to the courses offered in UMS. There are also thousands of information and knowledge in various fields which can be accessed electronically 24 hours a day and 7 days a week including subscriptions of databases that contains full text journals and electronic books. The electronic access can be done anytime and anywhere through the UMS @ Library Discovery.

  • To strengthen the collection of quality materials and information in line with customers' demands.
  • To provide efficient, effective, and customer-friendly services.
  • To provide conducive infrastructure in line with current trends 
  • To foster a culture of knowledge among the university's community and the surrounding population
  • To become a learning and research reference hub in Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS)

Client Charter

We pledge to:

  • Ensure that the book borrowing and returning service at the counter is done within 3 (three) minutes for each user.
  • Provide Inter-Library Loan (ILL) materials within 3 (three) weeks from the date of application.
  • Supply of Document Delivery Service (DDS) materials within 5 (five) days from the date of application.
  • Manage customer complaints within 7 (seven) working days.
