UMS CONTINUES TO SUPPORT RESEARCHERS IN PECIPTA 2022

BACHOK, 2 NOVEMBER – Professor Ir. Dr. Rosalam Haji Sarbatly, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation) of Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), visited the UMS contingent of the International Conference and Exposition on Inventions by Institutions of Higher Learning (PECIPTA) 2022 at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), today.

Before the competition, Professor Ir. Dr. Rosalam sent a video message in support of the contingent. He expressed his thoughts on UMS' involvement in the competition and wished every researcher success in PECIPTA 2022.

PECIPTA is a biannual programme organised by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia together with its partner institutions of higher learning (IHL) to bring various types of technologies, inventions, and innovations together. UMK has been selected to co-host the 11th PECIPTA, which is held at the Dewan Tuanku Canselor UMK from 1-3rd November 2022.

The UMS contingent is led by the Director of Innovation and Commercialisation Management Centre (ICMC), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jidon @ Adrian Janaun. The contingent is participating with 6 innovations in the physical category for 3 different clusters, including Water & Food, Agriculture & Forestry and Environment & Biodiversity. Meanwhile, 8 innovations compete in virtual category.
