DATO’ SERI ABDUL RAZAK BIN JAAFAR, THE CHIEF SECRETARY OF THE MINISTRY OF HIGHER EDUCATION (MOHE) VISITED UMS BOOTH IN FESTIVAL OF IDEAS (FOI) 2022

PUTRAJAYA: Dato’ Seri Abdul Razak Bin Jaafar, the chief secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) dropped by Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) booth in the Festival of Ideas (FOI) 2022 yesterday.

Dato’ Seri Abdul Razak was greeted by the Director of Innovation and Commercialisation Management Centre (ICMC), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jidon @ Adrian Janaun and a cultural performance from the Academy of Arts & Creative Technology (ASTiF) UMS.

FOI aims to celebrate and promote creative and innovative thinking among local universities. UMS showcased various innovations in the booth including, M-Solat, Vivify, e-Gadung and awards from PECIPTA 2022.

Besides exhibition, ASTiF UMS is performing Sabahan dances such as Igal-Igal and Sumazau. The faculty has won international awards for its rhythmic and musical dance. Visitors are also invited to try on traditional costumes of Sabah for free.

Also present was the Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation) UMS, Prof. Ir. Dr. Rosalam Hj. Sarbatly, in support of the delegation’s effort in promoting UMS innovations and creative talents.
