MALAYSIA LABORATORIES FOR ACADEMIA-BUSINESS COLLABORATION (MYLAB) VISIT

KOTA KINABALU: The Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) conducted a monitoring visit and audit to review documentation, inventory, and assets for the Malaysia Laboratories for Academia-Business Collaboration (MyLAB) project on 24 February 2023 at Innovation and Commercialisation Management Centre (ICMC), UMS.

It aims to target the growth of local technology and innovation as well as the systematic transfer of knowledge and resources.
The panels were led by Assoc. Prof. EUR ING. Ir. Ts. Dr. Shahiron bin Shahidan, Director of IPT Research Excellence Division from the Department of Higher Education (JPT), MoHE.

At the same event, ICMC held a hybrid webinar for UMS Lecturers on the different research funds available. This gave them the opportunity to explore research grants and to find new ways to benefit from the research funds.

Also present was the Director of ICMC, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jidon @ Adrian Janaun, Deputy Directors of RMC Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatimah Ahmedy and Dr. Ervin Gubin Gubong and Deputy Deans (Research & Innovation) from UMS faculties, including Dr. Suddin Lada (FPEP), Dr. Noorakmar Binti Ab. Wahab (FSMP) Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kenneth Francis Rodrigues (IPB) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Idris Bin Bullare @ Bahari (FPP).
