Former Registrar Feted at Appreciation Dinner

FRIDAY, 13 NOVEMBER – Former Registrar of Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Datuk Abdullah Hj Mohd Said was feted in an appreciation dinner held at The Klagan Regency, 1Borneo, last night.

The function aptly named ‘Sejambak Memori’ was attended by the Vice-Chancellor of UMS, Professor Datuk Dr. Mohd Harun Abdullah, members of the Board of Directors of UMS, Principal and Senior Officers, staff of Registrar Department and members of Datuk Abdullah’s family.

In his speech, Datuk Abdullah expressed his gratitude to the university for organising the appreciation dinner in conjunction with his retirement.

He also took the opportunity to thank all staff who had work with him throughout his tenure in UMS.

Datuk Harun in his speech described Datuk Abdullah as someone with a lot of experience and had greatly contributed to the administration and management of human resources of theuniversity.

Datuk Abdullah and his children also presented a song as a special performance to the staff that night. – (fl)
