About Us
The centre for Entrepreneurship Research and Development (ERDEC), UMS was established in January 2003. The main objective of the centre's establishment is to be as one of the entrepreneurial resource centre which focuses on the entrepreneurial research and development process both domestically and globally. The centre was established at UMS as one of the centre’s of excellence through its research, dissemination of innovative entrepreneurial knowledge and practice and also through the development of a competitive and good quality younger generation especially the entrepreneurship graduates.
The centre for Entrepreneurship Research and Development (ERDEC) plays an active role in giving entrepreneurial support services such as business counseling, business information and entrepreneurial spirit needed by the entrepreneurs.

Support the global development of entrepreneurship, economic, and social by liaising between the resources of UMS and the broader community
Objective of ERDEC
- To be a center of excellence in entrepreneurship research through collaborative research UMS including schools, centers of excellence and institutes in UMS, and outside UMS including government agencies and private sector.
- Be entrepreneurial development center that focuses on the development of entrepreneurial students, lecturers and society in line with the government and in particular UMS.
- Provide services in terms of entrepreneurship, including entrepreneurship education, consulting and advisory services, industry training and work attachment entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship centers and social service referrals.
- Provide support to the Entrepreneurship degree program at the School of Business and Economics and entrepreneurship programs established in schools, centers of excellence and institutes in UMS.
- Become a reference center of research, and the development of entrepreneurship in the country and abroad.
- Work with government and private agencies in research, training, advisory services, consulting, marketing network, business financing and any activities related to entrepreneurship.
- Collaborate with researchers and other agencies within and outside the UMS in the commercialization of research findings UMS.
- Be a mover and catalyst for all entrepreneurial activities UMS.
