WEDNESDAY, 24 SEPTEMBER – Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) recently held a meeting with representatives from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) to discuss matters relating to international students sponsored by IDB UMS.

According to a statement issued by the Centre for International Affairs (PHEA) UMS, the discussion chaired by the Head of Chancellery Department, No’man Haji Ahmad among others touched on lodging application for international students during semester break.

According to the statement, the main objective of the discussion was to streamline the management of international students sponsored by the banking institution in UMS.

So far, IDB had sponsored 20 international students of UMS from Myanmar, Tanzania, Malawi and Vietnam.

At the meeting, IDB was represented by several staff members headed by the Chief of the IDB Scholarship Programme, Dato’ Dr. Malek Shah Mohd Yusoff, while UMS was represented by Acting Director of PHEA, Molly Donna Awang Sham and representatives from JFPIU involved. – ZMD (fl)
