MONDAY, 02 SEPTEMBER – Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) played host to the Tun Azizan Zainul Abidin integrity talk which was held at the Dewan Canselor, UMS.

The annual talk which was organised for the fifth time was in collaboration with the Malaysian Integrity Institute (IIM) and Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP).

The talk was presented by the former Sabah State Secretary, Datuk K. Y. Mustafa, who was also the former Director of UMSLink Holdings Sdn Bhd. The talk entitled ‘Integrity and Good Governance’ was attended by more than 4,000 new students of UMS.

In his talk, he explained the concept of good governance which was practised by the Sabah government. He also touched on knowledge and integrity which was the basis towards successful planning and administration practised by the government.

Also present was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs and Alumni, Assoc. Prof. Datuk Dr. Hj. Kasim Hj. Md. Mansur; the Dean of the School of Psychology and Social Works, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murnizam Hj Halik; the Sabah State Attorney-General, Datuk Mariati Robert and the Head of Administration and Humanities Department UTP, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azrai Abdullah. - FL
