UMS Housing and Hospitality Division Organises Residential Colleges Management Workshop

Felo1MONDAY, 20 OCTOBER – The Housing and Hospitality Division, Student Affairs and Alumni Department, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) in collaboration with the Principals of UMS Residential Colleges recently organised a workshop on Residential Colleges and Fellows Development Management at the Seminar Room, Anjung Siswa.

The workshop was organised to improve understanding and to prevent any unwanted activities which were against the roles and responsibilities of fellows of residential colleges.

The closing ceremony was officiated by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni) UMS, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ismail Ali.

Speaking at the ceremony, he said the roles of fellows were important in the welfare, safety and personality and academic development of students.

“The roles of fellows comprise all aspects in assisting principals or college heads to manage students’ activities, organise counselling and consultations and ensuring the implementation of rules and discipline among students,” he said.

A total of 70 participants comprising Principals, Deputy Principals, administrators and fellows of residential colleges attended the workshop. – ZMD (fl)
