Co-Currilum Carnival Shapes UMSKAL Students’ Identity

kokum kalTHURSDAY, 28 MAY – The involvement of students in the Co-curriculum Carnival would shape them into individuals with a winning personality.

Deputy Director of Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Labuan International Campus (KAL), Associate Professor Dr. Geoffrey Harvey Tanakinjal said, this is in line with the national higher education policies to produce Malaysians who are balanced and harmonious intellectually, spiritually, emotionally and physically.

He said the country’s goal is to create graduates who are not only knowledgeable but also competent, virtuous, responsible and the prosperity of the nation would be achieved through the implementation of the Co-Curriculum Carnival and indirectly creating and provide to the demands of current job market.

“Through this activity, I believe students will be able to observe, appreciate, analyse and solve problems through an approach that is more appropriate and reasonable in this challenging world. The learning process will make them more rational about some episodes in their lives besides making them students who are dynamic and credible,” he said.

He was representing UMSKAL Director, Associate Professor Dr. Murnizam Haji Halik in officiating the Co-Curriculum Carnival Semester 2 2014/2015 Session. – SS (fl)
