UMS Foster Ukhwah With Kebagu Villagers

kebagu3MONDAY, 13 JULY – Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) in collaboration with the Kampung Kebagu Village Committee, Sepanggar had a Community Networking and Breaking of Fast Programme, recently.

The ceremony was officiated by UMS Vice-Chancellor, Professor Datuk Dr. Mohd Harun Abdullah, was to strengthen ukhwah (fraternity) and help the villagers repair the mosque and school for the comfort of the villagers.

At the ceremony, Professor Datuk Dr. Harun had the opportunity to deliver contributions in the form of sejadah (prayer mats) and Al-     Quran as well as some mosque paraphernalia to the Imam of the mosque, Tuan Haji Saili @ Kumbang Hj. Taib.

UMS also presented zakat in the form of cash donations and rice to the Kampung Kebagu Mosque Division, senior citizen, the disabled (OKU), and orphans represented by the village head, Haji Wid Musi.

Also present were Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs and Alumni, Associate Professor Dr. Ismail Ali and the Head of Student Affairs Department, Azmi Jumat. – ZMD (fl)
