FRIDAY, 14 AUGUST – A total of 107 medical practitioners participated in the 3rd Ultrasound Workshop organised by the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FPSK) Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) starting today.

Held at FPSK Auditorium, the workshop featured five experts with extensive experience in the medical field and ultrasound who shared their expertise with the participants.

They were Dr. Anna Liza Roslani, Dr. Rafaie Amin, Dr. Shari Nor, Dr. Vijayan Valayatham and Dr. Vamsikrish Vigneswarasamy.

The ceremony was officiated by the Acting Dean of FPSK, Prof. Dr. Zainal Arifin Mustapha.

In his speech, he said that the workshop aimed to give participants a practical understanding of the basic principals on the use of ultrasound, especially in the field of gynaecology.

In addition, he said it was also to guide those who were new in handling the machine.

The workshop, organised in collaboration with the Sabah Women and Children Hospital was held for three days until Sunday. – (fl)
