KESUMBA Organises Health Campaign

THURSDAY, 01 OCTOBER – The Universiti Malaysia Sabah Housewives and Women Staff Club (KESUMBA) recently organised a ‘Pap Smear and Health Examination Campaign’ in collaboration with the Likas Health Clinic, Kota Kinabalu.

The Chief of Puteri KESUMBA, Nurul Izza Md Nordin said the campaign conducted were checks on general health that included blood pressure, blood sugar test, BMI reading and overall well-being.

“Cervical cancer is the second deathly cancer for women after breast cancer, thus we want to create awareness among women on its dangers and encourage them to come,” she added.

Nurul Izza who also coordinated the campaign said that all members of KESUMBA took the opportunity to do a health check at the temporary clinic set up at Teratak KESUMBA, UMS.

The health check was opened between 9.00 am and 3.00 pm.
