‘Temu Santai Alumni’ Strengthens Ties Among Alumni

THURSDAY, 21 JANUARY – Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) Alumni Centre yesterday held a meet and greet session, ‘Temu Santai Alumni’ at Café D’Sireh, UMS.

The session was attended by more than 100 alumni who were mostly staff of UMS itself.

Speaking at the opening address, UMS PhD alumni and President of the UMS Alumni Association, Dato’ Dr. Haji Janathan Kandok who is also the Director of Sabah Customs Department said that they would streamline all programmes planned by Alumni Centre for the benefit of its members.

Earlier, Director of Alumni Centre, Mohd. Raffie Hj. Janau, stressed on the importance of support from alumni to realise the Centre’s objectives.

“We have lined-up a full range of activities and will reach out to more alumni across the country including our international alumni,” he said.

The gathering also included a sharing session by alumni who talked on their achievements, at the same time share some suggestions on ways to attract other alumni to give back to their alma mater. - FL
