The 82 staff included 23 who were promoted to the post of senior lecturer, a language teacher to grade DG44, 14 management and professional staff category, and 44 support staff.

Earlier in his speech, he said that ‘simplifying’ could be a good keyword for university staff in carrying their services.
He said that if each task was performed on the basis of simplifying things, it would ease students and public as this translated to better service delivery.
“Thus, this is a challenge to the administrative staff who are promoted to think or do anything that facilitates the process of their services,” he said.
Present at the ceremony were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni), Associate Professor Dr. Ismail Ali and UMS Registrar, No’man Hj. Ahmad. – MA (fl)
