Students Involved in Assembly, UMS Awaits Police Report Before Taking Action

Naib Canselor UMS2THURSDAY, 07 MAY – The Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Professor Datuk Dr. Mohd Harun Abdullah today said that UMS was still waiting for the official report from the police before any action could be taken against those involved in the 1 May anti-GST rally.

He said the university treat this matter seriously even though it happened outside the campus.

“However, at this point we leave it to the authorities to carry out further investigations,” he said, adding that there might be four to six students involved.

He was met after the OHSAS18001:2007O and MS 1722:2011 Occupational Safety and Health Management System (OSHMS) Certificate Handing Over Ceremony in conjunction with World OSH Day UMS level held at the Gallery, Chancellery Building. – SS (fl)
