‘Campus Survival’ Guides New Labuan Students

campus survivalTHURSDAY, 02 OCTOBER – Universiti Malaysia Sabah Labuan International Campus (UMSKAL) ‘Campus Survival’ programme was held to guide new undergrads of the university.

Deputy Director of UMSKAL, Dr. Geoffrey Harvey Tanakinjal said ‘Campus Survival’ UMSKAL 2014 was also to prepare new undergraduates to face life as a university student.

In addition, students can also learn to adapt to the new environment and learn to be independent without depending on others and build a positive character and have self-confidence in facing challenges as undergrads.

‘Campus Survival’ Programme was to develop high level communication skills when dealing with others and to be able to build a strong identity as an undergrad and to provide opportunities to first year undergrads to be active in various fields and not to rely solely on academic,” he said.

He said this when launching the closing ceremony of the programme at the Labuan Sports Complex recently.

A total of 54 participants joined the programme held for the third time with the motto ‘Campus Life is the Best’. – SS (fl)
