TNCHEP baharuTHURSDAY, 21 AUGUST – The new Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs and Alumni (DVC SAA), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ismail Ali will focus on infrastructure facility and the welfare of students.

“At the initial stage, I will concentrate in improving facilities such as hostel, transportation and medical for students,” he said, describing the welfare of students as a joint responsibility of all UMS staff.

At the same time, he said, he would continue with the policies that have been implemented by the former DVC, Assoc. Prof. Datuk Dr. Kasim Md Mansur.

“I find the planning by Datuk Kasim is good enough. We just need to improve on certain areas.

“I would also like to remind students to always focus on their main goal when entering into university and not be susceptible to external elements that violate the regulations under the Universities and University College Act (AUKU),” he added.

He said this when interviewed by journalists of Chancellery Media. – SS (fl)
