Universiti Malaysia Sabah is the 9th public university established in Malaysia. Significant with the number 9, the main campus was also built on a 999 acres land situated along Sepanggar Bay, Kota Kinabalu.

The Landmarks

Chancellor Hall

With a seating capacity of 5,000 once at a time, the Chancellor Hall serves as space for university events such as Oath Taking and Pledge Ceremony and Convocation Ceremony. The gong inspired Hall was first used for convocation in 2003                                                         

Chancellery Building

The Chancellery Building houses the offices of the administration building including the Chancellery Department, Registrar Department and the Bursar Department. The Chancellery building, also known as the Twin Tower among the community, is located at the top of UMS hill.

The Clock Tower

Looking magnificent, the clock tower stood tall welcoming and greeting every guest to Universiti Malaysia Sabah. Inspired by the fourth Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Datuk Dr. Mohd Harun Abdullah, the clock tower, serve as an iconic landmark, is located at the main entrance roundabout in main campus with the construction work started in 2014.

Main Lecture Hall Complex 2

The second lecture hall complex started fully operating in 2011. The complex hosts lecture halls and Academic Services Division office.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

UMS Jetty

Stretch from the shore into the water of Sepanggar Bay, the jetty is one of the facilities provided for students and researchers who are involved in marine life research.
