TUESDAY, 02 OCTOBER – The Minister of Industrial Development Sabah, Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah recently visited the Faculty of Engineering (FKJ) Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) to strengthen bilateral relations.

During the visit, FKJ led by the Dean, Prof. Ir. Dr. Rosalam Hj. Sarbatly also discussed with the ministry on the direction of oil and gas industry in Sabah.

According to a statement issued by FKH, the faculty was also planning to share their expertise in the field of oil and gas to provide training to industry players, particularly in Sabah.

During the visit, Datuk Raymond also visited the laboratories at FKJ.

The faculty currently offers Diploma in Engineering Oil and Gas starting September this year.

Also present at the discussion were FKJ Deputy Dean of Academic and International, Dr. Sariah Abang, Heads of Programmes and lecturers who were involved in academic programmes related to oil and gas. – ZMD (fl)
