WEDNESDAY, 3 SEPTEMBER – The Management of Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Labuan International Campus (UMSKAL) gave assurance that the safety and welfare of new students will be given due attention.

UMSKAL Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murnizam Haji Halik said he had ordered all officers and employees responsible in student affairs to always maintain, supervise and monitor the safety and welfare of the new students.

“We will ensure the welfare of the students, including infrastructure are in good condition and safe for use,” he said.

He was speaking at a briefing for parents of new students of the 2014/2015 Academic Session  at the Central Lecture Hall, UMSKAL.

Approximately 865 new students enrolled in UMS Labuan for the September academic session. – SS (fl)
