About Us
The Centre for the Promotion of Knowledge and Language Learning (CPKLL), Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) was established at the end of 1994 with the aim of offering core courses for students from all the various schools on the UMS Campus.
VISION
The Centre for the Promotion of Knowledge and Language Learning strives to produce graduates with holistic views who acknowledge the importance of our society and country.
MISSION
The Centre for the Promotion of Knowledge and Language Learning works to ensure that students are taught the importance of co-operative endeavour, love of country and genuine Malaysian nationalism. Students are offered courses that are relevant to their present needs; courses which lead to the acquisition of knowledge and soft skills, which enable them to communicate effectively, and which prepare them to face challenges at both national and international levels.
OBJECTIVE
- To produce knowledgeable, skilled and respectful graduates.
- To produce graduates who are able to lead and display initiative
- To cultivate patriotism among graduates, and to enhance understanding and appreciation of the cultural heritage of the Malaysian people.
- To produce graduates who can speak the English Language and foreign/local languages.
- To produce graduates who are balanced, and who possess academic and social skills in equal measure.
