– The Psychology, Education and Sports Students Association (PERMAPPS) Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) recently organised the Faculty of Psychology and Education Session 2014/2015 Mega Carnival.
Deputy Dean (Student Affairs and Alumni) Faculty of Psychology and Education (FPP), Associate Professor Dr. Suyansah Swanto said the programme aimed to foster closer ties with the faculty staff and students besides improving soft skills of students through activities.
“In addition to giving students the opportunity to engage directly in the organising of the programme, this carnival is a benchmark for the faculty itself in organising this carnival that brings together all faculty members in a variety of activities,” he said when launching the programme.
He added, the three-day programme, which was attended by about 200 students would hopefully be continued to form cooperation between staff and students in organising such event.
Among the activities held during the carnival included Poetry Festival, Coffee Talk Debate, book fair, health fair and funfair. – (fl)
