MISSION
THE FACULTY OF TROPICAL FORESTRY IS DETERMINED TO ACHIEVE EXCELLENCE, INNOVATION AND DYNAMISM IN THE FIELD OF FORESTRY THROUGH HOLISTIC TEACHING AND LEARNING, ENHANCEMENT OF RESEARCH, RESULTS, PUBLICATIONS, COLLABORATION, PROFESSIONAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICES TO PRODUCE QUALITY, COMPETITIVE AND SOFT-SKILLED HUMAN CAPITAL TO MEET COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT NEEDS AND COUNTRY.
OBJECTIVES
- To produce knowledgeable, honest, well balanced and competent graduates in the field of forestry that are competitive at national and global level.
- To expend the developments relating to forestry through education and research, in line with the national desire to become a developed nation.
- To produce graduates that are efficient, skilled professionals with expertise based on the chosen programme core and well supported by predetermined elective courses.
- To equip graduates with a strong theory and application of the programme core towards a strong foundation to pursue postgraduate studies.
- To provide elective courses in fulfilment of University’s goal towards producing a well-balanced graduate.
