Programme Overview

The History programme offers courses that provide students the insights and understanding of the world that we live in. The focus of this program is on Malaysian history, starting from the Sultanate of Malacca to the political development of the 1990s. Emphasis is also given on Malay histeography, socio-economic history and the history of Sabah and Sarawak. Besides, the program also introduces students with the history of various regions which include the Middle East, Latin America, United State, Europe, East Asia and Australasia.

STPM
Diploma/Equivalent

GENERAL REQUIREMENT

SPM

Possess the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) with a minimum of :

Grade C in Malay Language/ Malay Language (July Paper)
Grade E in History for examinations from 2013 onwards

STPM

Pass the Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) examination with a minimum of :

Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00
Grade C in General Studies
Two (2) Grade Cs in any subjects not included above

MUET

Obtain a minimum of Band 1.0 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for examinations commencing from Session 1 of 2021, with a validity period of five (5) years from the date of issuance of the test results.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT

Obtain a minimun of Grade B in one (1) subject as STPM level, as follow :
- History
Obtain a minimum of Band 2.0 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for results obtained from Session 1 of 2021, with a validity period of five (5) years from the date of issuance of the test results.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

DIPLOMA - PUBLIC UNIVERSITY/POLYTECHNIC/COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Possess a Diploma qualification from a IPTA/ILKA/IPTS or any other qualification recognised as equivalent by the Government of Malaysia and approved by the University Senate.

MUET

Obtain a minimum of Band 1.0 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for examinations commencing from Session 1 of 2021, with a validity period of five (5) years from the date of issuance of the test results.

SPM

Possess the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) with a minimum of :

Grade C in Malay Language/ Malay Language (July Paper)
Grade E in History for examinations from 2013 onwards

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Possess a relevant Diploma from an educational institution recognised by the Senate of University Malaysia Sabah
Obtain a minimun of Band 2.0 in the Malaysian University English Tesr (MUET) for examinations commencing from Session 1 of 2021, with avalidity period of five (5) years from the date of issuance of the test results.
