Announcement From: Borneo Institute for Indigenous Studies
BRC 2024 Conference will be held from 10 to 12 September 2024, at the Main Campus of Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and we are hoping that many scholars in Borneo studies from around the world will attend, including students.
This will be a trilingual conference in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Bahasa Indonesia.
It will include any topics on the social, medical, environmental, and biological sciences in Borneo.
It will consist of thematic paper sessions, plenary sessions, and panel sessions on specific research projects.
Very Low Revised Early Bird rates:
RM 350 - ordinary participants, presenters, panelists
RM 100 - students (from any school, college, university, including part-timers and mature-aged students).
This is an opportunity for postgraduate students doing research on Borneo to present their research findings.
Accommodation and Transportation for Participants from Outstation will be provided at discounted rates at Manhattan Suites, ITCC, Penampang, with free UMS bus transportation to and from the UMS main campus.
Post-conference publications: Presenters are free to publish their revised papers wherever they wish, but selected papers will be published with authors' permission in the Borneo Research Bulletin and in the Borneo Research Council Proceedings Series
