Business Innovation Carnival Instill Undergrads’ Competitiveness

Karnival Inovasi PerniagaanTUESDAY, 2 DECEMBER – Despite the heavy rain, it did not deter the more than 800 undergrads of the Faculty of Business, Economy and Accountancy (FPEP) Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) to ensure the success of the Business Innovation Carnival 2, 2014 at Dataran Dewan Canselor (Chancellor Hall Square), yesterday.

The two-day programme aimed to give students the opportunity to be involved and experience to deal with the world of business in future.

According to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Professor Dr. Shahril Yusof, besides being job seekers, today’s graduates must become job creators.

“30 percent of you need to find and get into business after graduation,” he said, representing the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Datuk Dr. Mohd. Harun Abdullah at the opening of the programme.

Also exhibited at the programme were prototypes and research results of year end semester by undergrads of FPEP.

Earlier, the Dean of FPEP, Dr. Rasid Mail said the organising of such programmes among others was to foster competitiveness among undergrads in the implementation and preparation of business plans.
