Timor-Leste Sends Students For Diploma Programme in UMS

TimorlesteTUESDAY, 30 SEPTEMBER – A total of 15 international students from Timor-Leste had registered at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) recently to pursue Diploma in Engineering Oil and Gas.

The two-year course is under the Faculty of Engineering (FKJ) UMS.

Three officers from the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Timor-Leste were also present during the registration and had the opportunity to have discussions with the Dean of FKJ, Prof. Dr. Rosalam Hj. Sarbatly on the affairs and welfare of the students.

According to the Assistant Registrar, Norazmayati Kassim, FKJ currently invites applications from students residing in Sabah and the Federal Territory of Labuan who are interested to join the programme.

“We also plan to hold talks with the state government regarding funding for students who are interested to join this programme,” she said.

This is the first batch of students from Timor-Leste pursuing the Diploma in Engineering Oil and Gas in UMS – ZMD (fl)
