Toh PuanMONDAY, 15 SEPTEMBER – Wife of the first Chief Minister, Allahyarham Tun Fuad Stephens, Toh Puan Rahimah Stephens advised the young generations to emphasise on knowledge and learning to face the coming challenges.

According to her, university students should understand today’s life pattern that needed action more than theory learned during their study.

“When you have all graduated, don’t be too proud of yourselves. You are nobody until you can live independently,” she said.

She said this at a meeting with Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) Media recently.

Touching on Malaysia Day, Toh Puan said that today’s challenges was to make the youngsters understand the meaning of Malaysia.

“This must be explained to all Malaysians especially the young generation and interior community who might still be confused and not clear about the whole point, so that they will not wander away with all the slander and incitement based on personal agenda,” she added.

She also invited all community to make Malaysia a prosperous and peaceful country without hoping for assistance from outsiders.

“Make Malaysia a country that can give happiness to us all. No one will help make our country better but we ourselves,” she pointed out. – ZMD (fl)
