UMS Bursar, Prepared for Transformation

Zallifah ShadanMONDAY, 16th MARCH – Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) Bursar, the department holding the university responsibilities in financial matters, set to continue improving their services quality.

UMS Acting Bursar, Zallifah Shadan said that the culture of respect, teamwork and integrity are main aspects towards achieving the goal.

“Every individual must dare to change and come out from their current comfort zone. They must dare to grab the opportunity which may not come again repeatedly in the near future,” she said in Acting Bursar’s Message 2015, held recently.

She urged the staffs department to keep on improving in ensuring UMS financial sustainability to be preserved.

“We need each other to achieve our vision and mission. We must win as a team, trust each other, respect and understand each other, and we also need to enjoy working with each other,” she said advising the head sectors to open up opportunities and to believe in their subordinate.

With ‘Together, Driven Towards Transformation’ theme, the session also include launching of the Mentor Mentee programme as a medium for staffs to get professionals guidance, supports and help. This programme also helps to increase staffs development and proficiency.

For the record, there are a total of 152 staffs in the Bursar Department consisting staffs in the main campus and both two branch campuses in Labuan and Sandakan.-ZMD (JA)
