UMS has a responsible security system in the campus. Security check-posts are also maintained in halls of residence. For identification purposes, students are issued identity cards. Those having vehicles are supposed to obtain prescribed stickers. Students are lectured on etiquettes and norms of good conduct. They can always contact the security officer on duty in case of any problem.

UMS is a very safe and secure place. However, students are urged to take sensible precautions as most people already practice in their daily life. Regarding, safety at work places, orientation is normally given by teachers.
