Anifah-5072MONDAY, 18 MAY – 15 Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) students will participate in the diplomat student attachment training programme at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs starting August.

The programme organised by the ministry would see a group of UMS students in various faculties and disciplines of learning attached at Wisma Putra throughout the training period.

Meanwhile, Dato’ Sri Anifah who acted as the moderator of the forum suggested that a special committee be formed to study issues related to the rights of the people of Sabah.

According to him, the forum was held to discuss solutions and consensus not only among local leaders but the community of this state.

“The special committee should review the most important issues including the 20 points, Malaysia Agreement 1963 and the preparation of a memorandum on the rights of the people of Sabah,” he said.

Some panel members involved were also seen giving their comments and views in this forum that included the former Chief Minister of Sabah, Datuk Yong Teck Lee; Bingkor Assemblyman, Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan; UMS lecturer, Dr. Ramzah Dambul; political activist, Zainnal Ajamain; lawyer, Haji Ansari Abdullah and Edward Bon.
