Department of Information Technology and Communication


About Us

JTMK entrusted to guide the university in ICT technologies to support R & D and management of the university in general. In principle, the services provided by JTMK supported by University Information Technology Policy will be implemented in the daily activities of all citizens.

JTMK Services include strengthening ICT infrastructure in main campus and branch campuses to ensure the equal quality of service. JTMK also aims to bring university scholars to provide the best service.

Starting with a small group, now JTMK will grow under a wide JSPIU coordination measures, which allow the improvement and effectiveness of services and career development of staff. The plan is expected to provide a balance in life and work.

JTMK developed and continue to develop in the future.


JTMK ensure that all sectors under which play an important role in ensuring that services provided are the best.

JTMK divided into two main sections:

  1. Infrastructure Division (BI)
  2. Information Management (BPM)


BI: The System Operations

# Security System Section
# Networking and Communications Section

This section is responsible for providing and maintaining a computer network system throughout the campus, as well as ensuring the safety of the campus network is preserved. These include:

  • Technical advice on the cabling (LAN / Wireless) existing / new to making the renovation of PTJ.
  • IP Address Management, preparation of technical specifications and monitoring of projects related to university requirements.

 

BI: Technology Sector

# Computers and Software Section

This section is responsible for planning the procurement and distribution of computer / printer / scanner / upgrade the operating system / application systems and upgrading of hardware / application systems. These include:

  • Provide technical advice to users in the evaluation of the proposed development of application systems.
  • To assist the user in the phase “Business/ User reqirement study”.
  • Technical assistance to user during the testing of the system has been developed.
  • Serve as a system admin (as well as the “first line of support”) to the application the department has no staff trained in information technology.
  • Assisting users in upgrading the application system.

 

# Section for Educational Technology

Responsible for the following:

Help in using the Tools to Teach (ABM) as well as organizing training sessions for academic staff use of equipment (for the needs) and provide specifications / technical evaluation of ABM.
Giving loans to the PTJ ABM need.

 

BPM: The Administrative Application

# Human Resource Information System and the Executive Section

  • This section is responsible for the information system for the management of human resources.

 # Financial Information Section

  • This section is responsible for integrated financial information system for financial management of the university.

 # Library Section

  • This section is responsible for library information system.

 # Office Automation Section

  • This section is responsible for office automation systems for the management of the PTJ.

 # Facilities and Asset Information Section

  • This section is responsible for developing the quality manual (ISO) and the integrated asset management system for the management of university facilities and assets.


Overall, the whole section on role in helping departments to create applications for systems management and administration.

Among other services we provide are:

  • Provide technical advice to users in the evaluation of the proposed development of application systems.

BPM: The Academic Applications

This section is responsible for the information system for university students Academic Services Division.

 # Learning Information Management System

This section is responsible for planning and ensure that Learning Management System (LMS) of the existing run smoothly also maintain / upgrade (software and hardware) LMS to further strengthen its functions, including:

  • Technical advice to users of LMS.
  • Coordinate / coordinating training sessions to users of LMS.
  • Research on satisfaction LMS.
  • Research on hardware requirements and functions of the LMS.

 # Multimedia Section

This section is responsible for developing multimedia technologies (whether for R & D or governance), including video and multimedia production of interactive media, including:

  • Operating/ maintenance of university web site.
  • Providing services to create/ provision of multimedia equipment for official universiti functions.
  • Provide training to the webmaster PTJ.
  • Video services, photography for all official activities of the university.
