The Faculty of Science and Natural Resources (FSSA) Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) is organizing the 15th Seminar on Science and Technology 2022 (S&T2022), which will be conducted as a fully Virtual Conference from 8th to 9th September 2022.

S&T2022 aims to be an excellent platform for knowledge exchange among academic researchers, sharing experiences and research findings specifically in Science and Technology fields. Prospective authors are invited to submit an extended abstract describing original work on all aspects of related fields.

All extended abstracts will be published in e-Proceedings of the Seminar on Science and Technology with e-ISSN No: 2735-2226.

Selected full papers will be published for publication in SCOPUS indexed conference/journal proceedings. The charge of publication is subjected to the publisher after acceptance.

Scope of fields:

Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished works on all aspects of Science and Technology. Topics include but are not limited to:

1. Environmental Sciences

2. Biodiversity and Natural Resources

3. Sustainable Forestry and Agriculture

4. Energy, Engineering, and Technology

5. Mathematics and Statistics

6. Health and Medical Sciences

Notice of Temporary Closure of main database server & web application for Server maintenance work on 09 April 2022 (Saturday) from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm

It is informed that the maintenance and upgrading of the Main Server in the Data Center Infrastructure, Department of Information and Communication Technology (JTMK), UMS will be implemented in order to provide a better service facilities.

Therefore, a DISRUPTION OF ACCESS TO THE ENTIRE INTERNAL SYSTEM OF THE UNIVERSITY which is scheduled to START FROM 8.00 AM TO 4.00 PM, ON 9 April 2022 (Saturday).

It is hoped that the relevant parties can take note and take appropriate action on the effects of the above maintenance work.

The Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM) through the Top Research Scientists Malaysia (TRSM) initiative aims to identify and recognise the active Malaysian research scientists, acknowledge their contribution in Research and Development (R&D) and feature them as experts in their respective research fields. The Top Research Scientists Malaysia are the mentors for the next generation of scientists, leaders in implementing the nation’s STI agenda in ensuring a culture of excellence in Science, Technology, Innovation and Economy (STIE).

ASM also would like to encourage young scientists to input their data into the TRSM database. Their input of data will be captured and profiled for talent development programmes facilitated by ASM and other relevant bodies. It is hoped that the data captured in the database would be beneficial for stakeholders to measure the overall R&D capacity of the country, especially on the talent development in STIE.

In relation to this, ASM wishes to welcome outstanding researchers from your organisations to input their data in the ASM Awards and Recognitions system and database platform at https://www.mytopscientists.org latest by 8 May 2022.

Enclosed are the letter call for input of data with the TRSM poster, brochure, summary guidelines and user handbook for reference (Attachment 1-4).
