The annual International Conference on Marine Science and Aquaculture (ICOMSA 2017) organized by , Universiti Malaysia Sabah will be held on 14 & 15 March 2017, at The Magellan Sutera Resort, Kota Kinabalu.
The theme for ICOMSA 2017 is ‘New Frontier in Sustainable Marine Bioresources’, with twelve specific sub-themes covering a wide range of topics including aquaculture farming and production, ocean colour and remote sensing, oceanography and coastal processes, policies & legislation, feed & nutrition, marine natural products, and marine ecotourism. These topics are of global relevance and particularly important for a country such as Malaysia, where the marine ecosystem services play a significant role in socio-economic development, as well as an aquaculture industry that is growing at a fast rate and with high seafood consumption.
The keynote address will be delivered by the Director of Sabah Parks, Dr Jamili Nais followed by four distinguished plenary speakers:
