MONDAY, 09 SEPTEMBER – The Vice-Chancellor of UMS, Prof. Datuk Dr. Mohd Harun Abdullah urged all new students not to be influenced by propaganda or elements that may caused them to neglect their studies.He said that the world has many things to offer and that it would be easy for students to lose their focus.
“Don’t be fooled by elements which could endanger the safety of students, harmony, patriotism and tolerance of students,” he said. He was speaking in his address at the New Students Talent Night organised in conjunction with the Orientation Week for the 2013/2014 Academic Session at the Dewan Canselor.
He added that the presentation by students that night were inspired by the element on solidarity towards a peaceful nation leading to a vision of a developed nation.
More than 30 students entertained all who were present with their rendition of songs, acting and dances. - FL
