numbak fasa 2THURSDAY, 10 OCTOBERUniversiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) continues to play its role in helping the needy.

Media Division, Chancellery Department this morning made another visit to the Kg. Numbak fire victims who are now placed at the Menggatal Community Hall, to hand over contributions.

The contributions were handed over by a representative of the division, Syahrul Hazizi Asmat to a committee member of Kg. Numbak Phase 2, Selenah Pilson.

Syahrul also made a short briefing about the contribution given which were in the form of clothing, foodstuff and baby milk and were gladly received by the fire victims.

“This contribution will be equally divided. Each family will receive goods according to their needs depending on the total contributions that were collected by UMS,” he said.

A young boy, Riza Amin when met by Chancellery Media reporter said that the contributions meant a lot to them especially his younger siblings.

“My siblings no longer cry like before because of the lack of milk supply. They also feel comfortable wearing the diapers donated,” he added.

The first phase of contributions collected were handed over to the fire victims last Friday. Collection is still on-going to ease the burden of the fire victims who were left homeless during the incident.
