ROLE of PHI
PHI plays a role in enhancing and coordinating networking and collaboration with industry to further strengthen the quality of teaching and learning as well as academic excellence. Together with Faculties, Institutes and Centres of Excellence, PHI’s role is to coordinate the process of liaison between industry and UMS.
VISION
To be a solid centre that puts UMS as a university for the community, government and industry.
MISSION
PHI will help UMS to be an excellent learning institution that contributes to the community, government, and industry through collaborative and sustainable relationship with the industry.
OBJECTIVES
· To be responsible in enhancing and coordinating good relations between UMS and the industry to improve teaching-learning quality, industry training, commercialise UMS products etc.;
· To have good relationship with the industry for the purpose of UMS students’ training;
· To have good rapport with the academia and the industry;
· To offer marketable and development and entrepreneurship to all students from all courses;
· To coordinate mobility in UMS;
· To arrange industrial training for UMS students
