Fabrication Process and Characterization of Metal Oxide Semiconductor-Based Sensing Devices

Ts. Dr. Norfarariyanti binti Parimon has been engaged in the fabrication and characterization of metal oxide semiconductor-based sensing devices since beginning her Ph.D. studies in 2018. Her research focuses primarily on the development of p-type nickel oxide (NiO) nanostructures using the immersion method for humidity sensor applications.

Ngui Min Fui @ Tom, Ir. Ts. Dr. won the prestigious Industry Excellence Award

Senior Fellow, Ngui Min Fui @ Tom, Ir. Ts. Dr., from the Faculty of Engineering at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), has won the prestigious Industry Excellence Award 2024 in the “Sustainable Built Environment” category from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), United Kingdom.

Professor ChM. Ts. Dr. Coswald Stephen Sipaut @ Mohd Nasri awarded the Strategic Research Fund (SRF) grant.

The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) has awarded Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) with a Strategic Research Fund (SRF) grant amounting to RM2,515,900.00 to support the implementation of the Integrated Multi-Hop Transceiver Scavenging System (IMHTS) under the Space-Based Technology program.

Three researchers awarded prestigious “Skim Dana Petronas” Grants

The funding provides FKJ (Faculty of Engineering, UMS) researchers with the opportunity to pursue ambitious, industry-driven and green-energy projects that will benefit the oil industries. Petronas has announced the award of “Skim Dana Petronas” grant to seven University Malaysia Sabah researchers. Three FKJ researchers are amongst the recipients of this competitive and prestigious funding with a total sum of RM3,760,857.34.

Welcoming a New Young Researcher to The Faculty of Engineering

The Faculty of Engineering is delighted to welcome Dr. Ng Chi Huey to the Oil and Gas Program as a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Malaysia Sabah. After receiving her Ph.D. from Universiti Putra Malaysia and Kyushu Institute of Technology, Dr. Ng worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Japan, where her experience with well-resourced laboratories and cutting-edge technologies helped her develop linkages, scientific discussions, and long-term collaborations with researchers in Japan.
