PENAMPANG, 1 July 2025 – In collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering, the Student Representative Council (MPP) of Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), together with the EcoCampus Department and the Innovation Unit, organized a community awareness program to promote innovation and sustainability.
Faculty of Engineering expert, Ir. Dr. Mohd Azlan Ismail, was invited to share his expertise on solar energy through the “Basic Course on Solar Technology,” highlighting how renewable energy can reduce carbon emissions and provide long-term, clean solutions for communities. Four schools participated, namely SK St. Agnes, SK St. Catherine, SK Malawa, and Kota Kinabalu Secondary School. The program was officiated by UMS Vice-Chancellor, Professor Datuk Dr. Kasim Mansor, represented by Chief Librarian, Zawawi Tiyunin.
